Is it true that when a timing belt brakes on a daewoo leganza it bends the valves every time?

If so, has anybody ever had this happen to them and the valves didn't bend? Just having to replace the timing belt.|||If the belt breaks while you are driving, it can cause severe engine damage. Rather than that happening, stick with the factory maintenance schedule in your owners manual and do what is suggested to be done at each interval.|||This is called an interference engine. You will need to search your engine type (i would google it) and find out if your engine is an interference type or not, if it is, then yes, the valves will make contact with the pistons. I got my fingers crossed for ya!|||If the belt broke while the engine was idling, well...maybe you didn't bend anything. If you was driving down the freeway when it broke, my bet would be that there's more damage.|||Most likely, i believe it has a DOHC engine, then yes their bent.
