Will my Daewoo Matiz make it driving to rottnest island? Do i need life jackets and an Epirb?

I am going to fit longer driveshafts and stub axles, so i can fit large tractor rims with inner tubes to my car so it will float. I am trying to save money by not using the ferry so i can afford to see my girlfriend there more often. Also i want to help the quokkas come to perth so i can sell them as secret asian aphrodisiac|||if u wanna go to rottnest island just went at hillarys or fremantle houbour and ask people on they boats for a free ride . And maybe if they going to rotto u might get a free trip. I know poeple who done it.
