Am I the only one that regrets buying a Daewoo, considering parts are nearly impossible to get?

I have a 2003 Daewoo Nubira, bought new. Naturally the warranty ended 2 months ago, and i find myself with a slew of problems. Took it in for some new tires found out the arm(?) for wheel with some bushings is worn out and needs to be replaced. Both front tires. This will cost me nearly $400 in repairs, not including alignment. Now here is the catch, it has been like this for some time (according to repair shop)Daewoo parts are hard to come by and usually take a good 2-3 months to get. I did not believe him and called Chevy dealership where i purchased vehicle and 2 other repair shops. Both told me the same thing. I want to know other peoples views on this vehicle and if they are running into same problem. I am thinking of just getting rid of it before i have more problems. Any one ?|||First of all...$400 for this repair job is a fair price. Secondly, because of the problems you mentioned with Daewoo no longer being sold here, the cash value of this car is nearing zero. even though it is only a few years old it is only worth about 1500-2000 IF you could find a willing buyer. Daewoo should not be THAT bad of a car considering they have been building cars in Asia for a long time. My recomendation is to just drive it up to about 100,000 miles and sell it for about $500 to anyone that will take it. Basically, all your money is already gone...to recapture value from it you need to drive this car. If you maintain it religeously and get a full inspection every 6 months or so you should be able to get good service from it. Purpose of the inspection being frequent is to spot any potential coming repairs that will require ordering parts ahead of time! I know it will be a bit of a hassle to do this but financially it is the best thing to do. Start saving money now to replace this car in a few years with either an American car or one of the Big 3 from Japan. Honda/Toyota/Nissan. Good Luck to you!
