I have an 8 year ol daewoo matiz that keeps cutting out when I brake. any ideas?
Fuel tank, filter, electric relay, idle and battery all checked. Have spent more than the cars worth and Daewoo don't help.|||sorry you've got me there with this one the only time this has happened to me is when the battery is dead and gave the car a jump start and when braked the power to the brake lights cut the power to the electrics in engine hope it works out for you|||Sounds like the idel speed, yes I know you've had it checked, what happens is the engine managment system regulates the mixture when certain things occur i.e battery load, the system isn't workong fast enough under brake conditions and the base idle speed is to low to compensate,|||if you rev and drop your foot quickly off the accelerator when parked does it also cut out? i believe the spring on the butterfly valve of the carburettor is weak see if you can tighten it or replace it - we are talking pence here .|||try to clean the throttle housing and the idle valve first i think that will work.|||its your Master cylinder its gone faulty|||sounds like you have a problem with a lockup torque converter that is not releasing.|||Maybe your timing belt is off. Sounds like you loose revs.
