How to reset the airbag light on a daewoo lacetti 54 plate?

My airbag light has came on and i have the obd2 connector and pcmscan software. This works fine, reads all data etc, but there is no option to reset airbag light.... Any ideas? (without paying an arm and a leg at the garage) Thanks.|||On most cars, it should go off if a self-check detects nothing wrong with the airbag circuit. You'd probably save some money in the long run taking it to the dealer, rather than have some doorknob deploy it accidentally, and have to buy a new one. I definitely don't recommend backyard mechanics messing with them, as it sounds as if you value your arm.

shaywillfixit., dude, lighten up. I wasn't talking about you. Your post hadn't even been made when I wrote that. Jeez!

And while I'm here, let me say that Naked Mechanic and Jason C make a good point, but that the airbag(s) should be disarmed before this fix is attempted. Also, check that those wires aren't frayed or broken.|||Got to agree with the naked guy, 99% of the time air bag warning lights relate to the seat belt pre-tentioner connection under the front seats. Over time the connection get gummed up with dirt or are pulled when the seat is moved. Before you done anything else, push the seats back, find the cable under the seats, disconnect the cable, clean up the connectors and then re-attach them.

Ja.|||Most airbag light problems are caused by the seats being moved forward and back repeatedly.

If you look under the seats you will see the wires and plugs.

These are for the seat belt pre-tensioners and you will need to unplug and re-seat them both at the same time to reset the system.|||hi i have all the stuff to reset it.. try a gargae with a snap on tool that will clear it for you.

by the way im no nob job backyard mechanic mate..worked for vx for 2years who now repair chevs what were daewoos...
